2003 - present: Private law practice in family law and real estate litigation.

2000 - 2003: Superior Court Commissioner, Marin Superior Court. Assignments included family law and Criminal Calendar including motions, arraignments, bail hearings, court trials, discovery disputes and probation revocation hearings.

1974 - 2000: Private law practice in Sonoma County, California. Experience includes court-appointed criminal cases at both the trial and appellate level, civil and criminal trials at the Municipal and Superior Court levels, law and motion practice, and real estate experience.

Argued and briefed cases before the Supreme Court of California and The United States Supreme Court, including three published family law cases, one criminal case (argued before the Supreme Court of the United States), and one employment rights case.

Found to be "exceptionally well qualified" to hold judicial office by California Women Lawyers. Rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell. Over 63% of the Sonoma County Bar Association rated me either "exceptionally well qualified" or "well qualified" to hold judicial office.

Trial experience includes jury trials of up to 7 weeks in real estate and construction cases, and court trials involving construction disputes, family law support issues and contested child custody. Conducted both jury and non-jury trials as a temporary judge and Superior Court Commissioner.
