Twin Hills Volleyball Code of Conduct The Twin Hills Volleyball Team Code of Conduct defines the expectations of team members, parents, coaches, and other participants during practices, games, and tournaments while on and off the court. Failure to abide by the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action up to and including expulsion from the Team and/or Gymnasium. PLAYERS While participating in volleyball, players are expected to conduct themselves in a manner, which represents a positive attitude, good sportsmanship, and respect with regard to authority. Swearing, talking while the coach is coaching, disrespect for others, hitting other players, wrestling for balls, or misuse of equipment will not be tolerated at any time. While visiting other schools, players must be aware that they represent Twin Hills School at all times and must act in a manner, which will uphold the integrity of the School. Logical consequences will be: 1st warning; benching during practices and/or not being allowed to play in next game or practice; 2nd warning, not being allowed to play in next 2 games and any practice during that time (must attend 1 practice before game, therefore up to 2 weeks off); and the 3rd warning, is an out, you are OFF the team. PARENTS The School realizes that, at times, a parent may not agree with a coachs strategy, method of discipline, or coaching technique. The School expects parents to refrain from creating a negative atmosphere for the players and coaches during tournament play. Parents may ask to discuss their concerns with the coach away from the playing court in a manner, which will not disrupt the positive attitude of team play. If you have any troubles feel free to contact me. COACH The Coach is expected to set an example for the players by maintaining their composure
at all times, which includes refraining from swearing, mistreating equipment, and showing
disrespect for individual players. |
