Tom Ruddy
(as some of you know Tom died of lung cancer on June 16, 1996.)
Tom was perhaps one of the best mechanics, race tuner, and all around visionary when it came to racing motorcycles. He developed bikes for several factories and was responsible for the bikes of such great racers as Mark Adent, Tommy Brooks and Cordis Brooks. Several #1 plates were won on Tom Ruddy designed and prepared bikes.
Tom was also an avid driver at Bonneville for many years and an early member of 200 MPH Club. The following picture was taken sometime in the 50's we think. Tom is front row third from left. (Gawd, I never knew Tom was ever young.) ;>
Tom, George Green and Terry Haug were also partners in a glider that they
built and flew when they weren't tinkering and racing their motorcycles.
