Which Fantasy/SF character are you?

I have to admit, I'm pleased and flattered by this one, even though these quizzes are obviously not meant to be taken seriously. According to the quiz, I am Captain John Sheridan, even though I personally have always identified more with (of course) Zathras.

Which Fantasy/SciFi Character Are You?

In the last few years, we've stumbled. We stumbled at the death of the president, the war, and on and on. When you stumble a lot you tend to look at your feet. Now we have to make people lift their eyes back to the horizon and see the line of ancestors behind us saying, "Make my life have meaning," and to our inheritors before us saying, "create the world we will live in."

DUDE!

THIS THING IS RIGGED! IT SAYS IM FRIGGIN PRINCESS LEIA!

"A strong-willed herald of causes against injustice, you passionately strive to right the wrongs around you.

Somebody has to save us, kids!"

$!#!$

*points at Shaw and snickers* Man, hope you like brass brassieres and thongs...bwahahahahaha!

I'm John Sheridan too. (Zathras isn't even listed in the potential list of characters people could be.) Though if we talk in terms of Monty Python, my stubbornness always has me identified as the Black Knight on MP quizzes.

I'm Wesley Crusher???!?

I am not sure this test has any connection to reality at all.

Yes, I was somewhat relieved to see that Zathras wasn't in the list -- I guess he's too much of a "minor character", since he's in only four eps of B5.

On MP quizzes, I tested as King Arthur... kind of weird that I would keep testing as these kinds of very public leadership figures, when my own preference is to be a more low-key type of person.

I think Shaw would look great in a brass bikini. *snicker*

Aww, what, you don't want hugs, kisses, caresses, and lovey talk from your good ol' friend? That's not nice, it might hurt his feelings -- and besides, you're missing out. *wicked grin*

>not the chick who wrote Postcards From the Edge

No, yours would have to be titled Blog Comments From The Edge. ;*)

ok - question: how many sci-fi characters are in this database? Also, why am I Leia when I could've been Kirk. I'd rather have been Kirk $!$#!#

Posted by: Shaw at June 18, 2003 06:37 PM

The list of all the different characters is available on the site... it's about three dozen or so, iirc.

:(

go ahead...rub it in. At least I'm not Wesley...

Posted by: Shaw at June 18, 2003 08:03 PM

I came up as Data (which I find very surprising, considering some of my answers)

A controlled personality with a vast range of skills and behavior, you are often intrigued by the people and places surrounding you.

In the strictest sense, I did not win -- I busted him up.

Ok - apparently there are only 18 Han Solos according to
http://www.tk421.net/character/stats.html

Yet there are 406 Galadriels.

No Chewbaccas either.

Wesley kicks Princess Leahs' butt... um, well maybe not..

He's got freaky mind powers... um, oh - she does too...

Well, at least he is a rebel - he quit his job! Princess Leah never did that! Hah! Same boring old princess job for life.

So there!

"Ok - apparently there are only 18 Han Solos according to

It doesn't surprise me that there's a skew, even setting aside the author's suspicion that the "ballot box" has been stuffed.

When sites that do versions of the Myers-Brigg test reveal their stats, there are tons of some personality types (amusingly, the ones that are represented by about 1% or 2% of the general population are represented by up to 60% of the online population) and hardly any of other personality types.

This test is a form of personality test. Because certain personalities tend to congregate online whie others do not and because certain personalities are more likely to take this sort of test whie others are not, the results are going to be strongly skewed in favor of those types of personalities.

That's why there are, for example, lots of Spocks and not that many Gollums.
