Assistance is available for low income parents who are
- working
- looking for work
- are students
- medically incapacitated
- homeless
- are referred for the child's protective needs.
This includes referrals for
- free and low cost health care
- dental care
- mental health counseling
- child abuse prevention
- food, clothing, and housing assistance
RCCS also offers
- Classes, support groups, workshops, and handout information on parenting, nutrition, CPR, first aid, health, and other family-related topics
- A Family Counseling Program, providing therapy and support to children and parents, cost is on a sliding scale basis
- Activities and special events for children, including Kindergym held at the Veteran's Hall in Guerneville, activity workshops, seasonal celebrations,and special events for kids
- A regular newsletter which has information about community workshops, events and activities, health, safety, nutrition, parenting advice, children's issues and legislation, and more
- A Car Safety Seat program and a Lending Library of books and videos about family related concerns
- Trustline registry referral services to provide background checks of child care providers and assistance with complaints about child care providers
- Advocacy on behalf of children on the local, state, and national levels
- Child care statistics and related information
