Sonic.net, Inc. provides a number of tools to allow our customers to observe the health and behavior of our network.
Network Weathermap
The Network Weathermap (http://stats.sr.sonic.net/weathermap/) provides an abstracted birds-eye-view of Sonic.net's internal network connections between our facilities in Santa Rosa, San Francisco, and San Jose, California. Each major link is presented as two arrows indicating the direction of network traffic, each color-coded to indicated how much load the link is under. Hovering your mouse over a given link will provide graph information for the past 14 hours.
NNTP Feeder Server Stats
The NNTP Feeder Server Stats (http://stats.sr.sonic.net/nntp-stats/) provide traffic information regarding the health and behavior of our news server, news.sonic.net. It is important to note, when reading these numbers, that "outbound" feeds refer to traffic from the news feeder to the news server, not traffic from the news server to the outside world.
These statistics do not reflect storage times or completion rates for multi-part binaries, but merely the volume of messages from various peers.
