How to read your mail with pine via a telnet connection

1. Get yourself connected with Dial-Up-Networking.

2. Then click on the quot;Start" &button, and select "Run". In the "Run" dialog box, type in the command "telnet bolt.sonic.net" as shown below.

2. A telnet window will open, which will request your "bolt login" after a few seconds. Type in your username here.

4. After you have logged in, you will see the Message of the Day scroll by, and it will stop at the dollar sign ($) prompt. Type in the word "pine" to bring up the mail program.

5. Now you will be at the PINE MAIN MENU. Press "L" or "ENTER" to view a list of your mail folders.

6. Press "ENTER" to expand the folder list, and press "ENTER" again to open your INBOX.

7. Select the mail you would like to read, and press "ENTER".

8. If you want to know more about pine type "?" and it will display the help screen.
