Getting to your Eudora Options
To review your Eudora 5.2 settings, open the Tools menu in Eudora and select "Options."
Getting Started
In the "Getting Started" category, you should have your name and return address (your Sonic.net email address). The Mail Server is "pop.sonic.net," the Login Name is your Sonic.net account name, and the SMTP Server is "mail.sonic.net." There is no need for authentication on the outgoing mail server. Your Login Name should be in lowercase.

Checking Mail
In the "Checking Mail" category, the Mail Server is "pop.sonic.net," your Login Name is your Sonic.net account name (in lowercase). For your convenience, we recommend enabling "Send on check" and "Save password."
Incoming Mail
In the "Incoming Mail" category, the Server configuration should be specified as "POP" and authentication should be specified as "Password." All other checkboxes should be left unmarked unless you have a compelling reason.
Sending Mail
In the "Sending Mail" category, your Return address should be your Sonic.net email address. This is the address that mail will be sent to when people reply to messages you have sent them. Your SMTP server is mail.sonic.net when using a Sonic.net connection. For your convenience we recommend checking "Immediate Send" and "Send on check."
If you receive SSL errors when trying to send mail with the below settings, please see our StartTLS in Eudora 5.2 documentation.
