| ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITES Sebastopol Area Chamber of Commerce Directory of Members: This directory & community information guide is distributed to 7,5000businesses and individuals and inserted in relocation packets. Members are listed both alphabetically and by classified category. Display advertising is available to members. Internet Exposure: The Chamber has a home page that includes this business directory, giving our members worldwide free exposure. Members who already have their own home page can link to their Chamber listing. Map: The Chamber publishes a city map with a distribution of over 7,500. Members are listed by classified category on the map and may advertise. Chamber Action: Each month the Chamber newsletter Chamber Action is mailed to over 500 members, leading businesses, individuals and prospects. New members are listed to promote their business. Members can submit stories about themselves providing free advertising exposure. In addition, very affordable display advertising is available to members. Members may also sponsor the newsletter to receive a front-page profile. Special Referral Listings: Only Chamber members are included in Referral Listings - including Realtors, Banks, Schools, Churches, Party Facilities, etc. These referral listings are distributed through the Chamber office to thousands of visitors. Grand Openings/Ribbon Cuttings: These ceremonies which increase the visibility of new or expanding businesses are provided to Chamber members only. Pre-event and post-event publicity with photos is provided in the newsletter. The local newspaper, Sonoma West Times and News features photos as space allows. Member Sponsorships: High visibility and advertising value is offered to members who sponsor a Chamber event, such as Business After Hours, Community Awards, Apple Blossom Festival and more. As event sponsors, their names are prominently displayed and promoted. Pre-event publicity and mailings afford them advertising exposure at no additional cost above their sponsorship fee. Business Expo: This showcase of products and services attracts over 600 attendees. A popular event providing opportunities for Chamber members to promote their products and services to the public. Entertainment & Visitors Target Advertising: Special advertising is puchased by the Chamber each year to attract visitors to the area. It is distributed to targeted areas throughout the Bay Area, California and United States. Special Publications: The Chamber also distributes Discoveries Magazine, Farm Trails Magazine, Russian River Wine Road Map, Bodega Bay Area Map & Guide, and other West County publications and guides. All of these publications encourage residents and visitors alike to shop, dine and recreate in our community. Direct Mail Advertisements: Each month members only may promote their businesses reaching hundreds of potential customers through the Chamber’s newsletter Chamber Action direct mail newsletter insert program. Members may bring in 500 copies of their 8 _ x 11" flyer and a $65 fee and the Chamber will do the rest – stuffing, labeling, sorting and pays the postage – saving members hundreds of dollars in labor and postage! NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES Business After Hours- Business Mixers: Held the third week of each month from 5:30 – 7 p.m. These networking events bring together an average of 50+ people. New members are introduced and can say a few words about their businesses. Membership Orientation: A review of all Chamber membership benefits and an orientation on how to best utilize them are available to members by appointment or at a regularly scheduled time. Committees: Members may participate in any of our active, dynamic committees, covering a wide range of interests such as Marketing/Promotions, Economic Opportunities, Government Affairs, Home-based Businesses, Sebastopol Promotions Program, Business Showcase, Ambassadors Program, Membership Retention, Membership Recruitment and Liaison to Board and Staff. out-of-the-box lunch thursday Seminars: These Seminars are held monthly at a predetermined location from 11:45 – 1:00 p.m. Presentations are given by prominent business leaders and cover important topics affecting local business. New Member Mentoring Program: The Ambassadors have instituted a program pairing themselves with new members, helping them meet other chamber members and find a committee/topic with which they would like to be involved. BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES Mailing Labels: Complete direct mailing information of 500+ Sebastopol area businesses on ready to use labels. $50 for Chamber members. Business Referral Service: Each month the Chamber responds to hundreds of requests for Chamber member information via visits, phone and e-mail. Promotional Displays: Only members can display their cards and promotional materials in the Chamber Visitors Center. Tax Deductibility: Membership in the Chamber is deductible as a necessary business expense. Calendar: The Chamber maintains a calendar of community events. Members are invited to list their upcoming fundraising and cultural events. Certificates of Origin: The Chamber can prepare the necessary forms for members who ship their goods and products outside of the United States. Resource Center: Information resources are available at the Chamber . Examples include community demographics, local phone directories, community calendar, a list of clubs and organizations, SBA publications, local and state maps, statewide visitor information, a list of local and area government contacts and Business Start Up Kits. Advocate for Business: The Chamber is the voice of the business community in local, county, and state issues representing the business community in problem solving, economic development, and education and outreach programs. ADDITIONAL BENEFITS Visitor Information Center: The Chamber serves as the official tourist center for Sebastopol, welcoming thousands each year to the area. The Chamber’s efforts has increased revenue for local shops as they promote the area, always referring Chamber members. Meeting Room Rental: Chamber members are offered the rental of the Chamber meeting room for just $10 an hour. The public can also use the room, as available, for $25 an hour Bulk Mailing Permit Use: Members may use the Chamber bulk mailing stamp, thus saving the $85 fee and allowing them an average per piece mailed saving of $.13 each. SPECIAL EVENTS Community Awards: Provides a public venue for community-wide awards and recognition. Annual Installation and Awards : Held every June and features installation of officers, recognition and awards to outstanding members contributions in time, revenue and energy. Apple Blossom Festival: A community-wide two-day event beginning with a parade down Main Street with over 100 entries. Thousands attend this fun-filled event with entertainment, craft booths, food booths, exhibits, and children’s activities. Numerous sponsorship opportunities are available for all businesses. Gravenstein Apple Fair: Held in August, this fair is sponsored by the Sonoma County Farm Trails and held at Ragle Ranch Park. The Chamber hosts a souvenir booth and the traditional apple pie baking contest. Enjoy crafts, food and wine tasting. And We Have Fun Too! |
