I Miss The Moon Sometimes (by Arak)
-------------------------

I miss the moon sometimes.

She rose in the night and came to me.

I felt her eyes,
Her lips drew close,
She kissed my soul.

Our hands entwined.
I savored the cold wet feel of her tongue in mine.
She slept by my side.

I miss the moon sometimes.

I was in love,
I was alive,
I was a fool.

The lips of a goddess,
The face of an angel,
She was a fire that needed my light.

I thought it was pure,
I thought I was different,
I thought I was the one to help her.

It was forever in a day.

I miss the moon sometimes.

They say when you play with fire,
You'll only get burned.
But I'll tell you my friend,
The moon does worse than burn.

She held my heart and kissed it goodbye.

An innocent child?
The master of lies?
To this day I'll never know.

I thought it was love,
But it was a lie.

But even still,
I miss the moon sometimes.
