Ever see a penguin fly?
They soar so gracefully.
They dive and turn and bank
And dart around so easily.
Those little wings look so awkward
When the penguins walk.
But the sight is awe-inspiring
When they all fly in a flock.
I've seen this spectacle in real life
A single time, at the zoo.
Did you know there's tropical penguins?
I swear to you it's true.
I was walking past exhibits
In the warm sunlight,
When I glimpsed penguins flying,
Down and to my right.
The exhibit housed a clear stream,
Scant feet away from me.
And in that water penguins flew,
A beautiful sight to see.
When people talk of the wonderful ocean,
They mention things pleasing to the eye.
I say one of the best sights underwater
Is watching penguins fly.
