Citizenship
California Human Development provides free citizenship services with funding from the State of California. People can receive free information, consultations and, if eligible to apply for U.S. citizenship, we complete citizenship applications free of charge. California Human Development provides free materials for study to help clients pass their citizenship exam and referrals are made to local ESL providers as well so that applicants can improve their English in order to pass their citizenship interview. We also complete N600 applications for children with green cards who have at least one U.S. citizen parent. This form must be completed so that children can receive a certificate of U.S. citizenship which is very important when applying for scholarships or loans for higher education.
Immigration
CHD has on staff a BIA accredited Representative who is recognized by the U.S. government to provide immigration services to the community. We assist people in obtaining legal status, work permits, renewing green cards, completing affidavits of support and help people immigrate family members to the U.S. Costs for services are low to help clients access quality immigration assistance.
