Growth Opportunities is a day program for adults with developmental disabilities, with special services for seniors and those who are medically fragile. We provide leisure and recreational activities for our clients who need assistance with many of the activities of daily life and support in accessing their community. Our program provides community outings, games, arts and crafts, music appreciation, as well as communication and self-help skills training. An essential part of GO's mission is community integration through training and activities that occur IN the community and allows direct participation in society of which they are a part.
Our clients experience social interaction and a comfortable caring environment, where they can choose to participate in various activities that match their interests.
Adventures and Opportunities Provided
- Community outings - explore parks, shopping centers, museums and social events
- Games - interact with fellow clients with games at all levels
- Exercise classes - a healthy body is a healthy mind
- Music - appreciate music by learning and playing with the latest music equipment
- Social Events - BBQ's parties for the development of social skills
- Trips - an adventure to the county fair, coast and special locations
- Communication classes - we have an on-site speech pathologist and staff trained in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Job Training - we provide job training and placement program that specializes in supported employment
