Updated with Rollovers

I had always intended that the buttons on my home page graphic would glow when the mouse passed over them. Unfortunately I didn't know enough JavaScript at the time I designed the graphic to accomplish the task.

To prepare the rollover graphics, I went back to the Photoshop and copied the layers that contained the buttons, which were under the type layers, and added the glow to each button.

I then put guides to mark where I wanted to slice, and sliced the images in Photoshop. there was the large image of the arch and two rolls of four buttons each. I reassembled these in a table and added the scripting.
WORLDWIDE CRUISES
Buttons and Graphics

This Worldwide Cruise Unlimited page and site incorporate JavaScript rollovers on seveal levels. There are the buttons, of course, which appear to depress to the surface. The photos are also set up to rollover with a "hand tinted" version of the photo with more information about the contents of the location.

The concept here is that there would be two levels of navigation. The pictures would lead to sections with pages about the cruise locals, etc. This is the sizzle to get you to want to book a tour. Interior pages also link to these pages and sections. On the interior pages, the photos on the openpage have been reduced and incorporated into the banner. These are also JS scripted.

The "cruise ship" buttons navigate to the more "business" parts of the site, such as schedules, reservations, etc. To help viewers keep tracked of where they are, the appropriate button would button would remained depressed, or the thumbnail photos would remain saturated. (Unfortunately the button used on the sample page is the one that is least obvious when depressed–I'll tweak later.)

The buttons were drawn and colored in Illustrator and the effects were added in Photoshop. All photo manipulations were done in Photoshop.

All the images were assembled on a Photoshop document then imported to Fireworks where they were sliced and which wrote the JavaScript. The sample interior page was also assembled in Fireworks. It is functional, but to turn it into the true template it is intended to be, the tables need to be redrawn.

Golden Assets is an investment house specializing in senior and near senior citizens. The four main divisions of the sites are color coded as seen here. There is secondary navigation on the first page, and color coding and Javascript throughout the site.
