Backgrounds
I originally created the above background in Fractal Painter (using the watercolor tools) for my old home page. I recently took it into photoshop and used the offset to make it more seamless. To drop a shadow, I strang four of the 2 inch squares together, then blurred them before adding text and shadow. Below are color variations.
Below are a few of a series of backgrounds I made for a part of my site that contains stories I've writen. I wanted a consistant look, so I made gradations over the first inch of a fourteen inch length in different colors, and then gave them a slight paper texture.
And then, of course, there is the graduated background of this page. It was made by running a black to white gradation down the first 4 inches of a 14 inch long by 6 pixel wide image. (Of course, the hope is that this page won't run over 14 inches!)
