    Abridged Bio

I was raised in Sonoma, Ca. For 20 years I owned a photography studio, in San Francisco and in New York City, specializing in Still-Life Advertising Photography. A couple of years ago I gave up the photography business to follow the dream of becoming a writer.

A few things about the Dream of Becoming a Writer:.

    1. For a period of time you will not make much money
      • Sometimes a short time
      • Most often a long time
    2. My back is a little too creeky for construction work
    3. The bank account was nose diving
    4. The ATM machine was making lame excuses for not giving me money
    5. Time was running out, and with no big Lotto winnings in sight
I signed up for computer classes at the Petaluma Center of the Santa Rosa Junior College.

After a few months, I began working for Waite Group Press, a publisher of computer programming books, and an imprint of Macmillan Computer Publishing. Viacom is our parent company, and its finacial woes, plus flat sales of computer books made flatter still by the late delivery of Microsoft's Windows 97, now Windows 98, have seeped down to drown my lowly position.
