Skrubly's Blender Stories

Thanks to Aquameastro for the new graphic!

This page provides links to the texts of my entries into the Blender funpo on EFnet. Blender has pretty much stopped happening lately; the last one I participated in I believe was number 42. Cthulu (leader of Mistigris) took over for a little while, but as far as I know it's in limbo right now. Anyways, for a little background, Blender is an online art competition. The basic premise is that three words are picked at random (a thing, an action, and a place) and you're supposed to create a piece of art that reflects some usage of those three words. Almost any format is accepted - all kinds of muisc formats, ANSI, ASCII, .gif, .jpg, a program you wrote, or even a full-fledged demo! Since my drawing ability (in ANY format) has been compared to a chimpanzee that hasn't taken its Ritalin, I decided to write stories instead. In fact, I've won a couple of Blenders with just stories! So, here they are in chronological order with the words that spawned them.

Blender 28: Frogs, Drinking, and School. A story of cheap bourbon and betrayal.

Blender 29: Encyclopedia Salesman, Rocking and Rolling, Goth Party. It's funny, in a way. But what did they expect me to do with THOSE words?

Blender 30: Ninjas, Kung-Fu Fighting, Sweat Shop. This story actually won! It's one of my favorites, and isn't nearly as cheesy as it could have been, considering the words.

Blender 31: I can't remember the words for this one. Not a bad story, though.

Blender 32: Picasso, Alien Encounter, Desert. Did I rip off the X-Files in this one? Not really. For instance, I'm not in the FBI.

Blender 33: Pope, Swimming, Pond. A tale of childhood memories. Well, fictional childhood memories, but still.

Blender 34: Hacker, Assembling a Stereo, Supermarket. When I wrote this, I thought of one of my friends in particular. A fun story.

Blender 37: Elvis, Making Sausages, Backyard. I can't believe I actually managed to use all three words.
