PRESIDENT CLINTON

BY LOISE NEVILLE

QUESTION: In what way is President Clinton different from President Bush? Answer: He's a better salesman. Bush started the war against Iraq through the elitist UN Security Council controlled by the U.S., Britain, and France.

Clinton continued it including a surprise bombing of the citizens of Baghdad.

Bush started the invasion of Somalia with the excuse of saving the starving, under the same auspices-UN Security Council.

Clinton continued it and even enlarged our military there. (Footnote: Why do you suppose that the first thing Somalia did when we arrived to save them was to attack the UN Embassy in Mogadishu? They knew something we didn't know?) Bush, with the aid of NED, the National Education for Democracy, a notorious CIA network, right-wing organization, put Yeltsin into place as President of Russia. (See the Covert Action Quarterly, formerly Covert Action Information Bulletin, for details.)

Clinton backed Yeltsin's military junta, the attack on the Russian Parliament, Russian Constitution, closing down media-this after Yeltsin had already announced his plan to become dictator, sole ruler, of Russia. ("Doctors without Borders" announced that thousands of Russians were killed or wounded in that junta.)

Bush suggested the privatized health care plan the Rockefeller Foundation attempted to institute under the Reagan administration. The name: Universal Health Care Plan.

Clinton has introduced an extension of this privatized Universal Health Care Plan which will operate through the three biggest insurance agencies in the U.S. benefiting these tremendously, creating for them an insurance monopoly which will harm smaller insurance companies.

Clinton has ignored the less costly, more encompassing and successful Canadian Health Care Plan to advocate the Rockefeller Plan.

Bush created the junta which overthrew the presidency of Aristide in Haiti. (Yes, that information is coming in from all sides now, not just from Haitian refugees. But some understanding of global economics made the face immediately clear.)

Clinton has completed the job by announcing that the situation in Haiti is too hectic to ever permit Aristide's return. Bush cut Social Security for Aid to Dependent Children, Seniors, Medicare. Did he include the disabled? You tell me.

Clinton did the same, including the disabled. Bush declared against a law permitting open homosexuals and lesbians in the military.

Clinton-the result of his highly publicized efforts is the same: gays are OK as long as they don't admit it.

Bush favored and financed food irradiation plants. Only public protest and public's refusal to buy such products prevented these plants from being a financial success and put a temporary end to the plan. (Check Food and Water for this.)

Clinton's new Secretary of Agriculture, Lee Espy, declares he favors food irradiation. Bush was openly against government payment for abortions for the poor.

Clinton-under Clinton this policy still stands. At least, I haven't heard otherwise, have you?

Bush backed the genocide in Bosnia Hertsogovina with a refusal to back arms for the Bosnians against the heavily armed Serbs. So this openly observed genocide against a modern nation was allowed to continue. Clinton-exactly the same. Bush's administration backed the destruction of our forests including public lands in order to pay our bills to Japan and other nations to which we owe our national debt.

Clinton-AFSEEE, the Association of Forest Service Employees for Environmental Ethics, declares that the recent environmental bill to protect our forests is full of loopholes which may make it of dubious effectiveness. Sierra Club warns that logging and mining in Yosemite National Park threatens the ecology there.

What is the difference between George Bush and Bill Clinton? Bush was openly pro business; Clinton declares himself a populist. Bush does not have a pleasant personality; Clinton does. In short, Clinton is a better salesman.
