Backstage passes: anything from a Beach Boys or solo Beach Boy tour.
Books: Any book solely devoted to the Beach Boys. In the case of books that devote individual chapters to one or more Beach Boys, please send information only (title, author, publisher, chapter title, date, brief description); that will be included on the page of related items. Please note that all editions of a book are on the same page, so there is one thumbnail per book.
Bumper stickers, clothing, buttons, postcards, toy cars, miscellaneous: anything specifically Beach Boys.
Magazines: With rare exceptions, I have to limit magazines to issues where one or more Beach Boys is the main cover story, because there have to be thousands of articles about them from the past 50+ years. The rare exceptions would be those from 1962 or 1963. In that case, they must be pictured on the cover, but do not have to be the main story.
Movie-related: Posters, lobby cards, 8x10s or anything depicting the Beach Boys from the following movies: Girls on the Beach, The Monkey's Uncle, The TAMI Show, or Two-Lane Blacktop (co-starring Dennis Wilson). Also, any stills showing Mike and Bruce in the Fat Boys movie, The Disorderlies.
Music books: Books devoted solely to the Beach Boys. Please include publishing information and song listings if possible.
Posters: This is a tough one. Definitely this would include any commercially sold posters depicting the group. There are many, many promotional and concert posters, however, many more than I can accommodate. I guess I'm going to have to reserve the right to be somewhat arbitrary here, so please write before photographing your posters.
Sheet music: The original issue, if possible, of individual songs. Please include the publisher and year published.
Videos and DVDs: Only legal, commercial copies, please, no bootlegs.
Tour and souvenir programs: All US and foreign tour books are welcome. Handbills from individual concerts are accepted somewhat arbitrarily--if they are particularly interesting (i.e., the concert was some special event) or from the 60's or 70's, they stand a better chance. (Venues sometimes produce programs for entire concert seasons with short bios of all the performers; these I do not want.) There are just too many handbills to show one for each and every concert.
