England

If this picture looks a little off-kilter, give us a break, we were battling excessive fatigue.  This was our first day off the plane in Bath.  We were almost too tired to enjoy the impressive cathedral, and Roman baths.  Jet lagged or not, the free walking tour of the town by the city council is a lot of fun.

In addition to the flowers, May is also lambing season.  Kristen is a big fan of little lambs.  Their really funny when they nurse.  Their tails start wagging really rapidly.  Our theory is that they're using it to get extra pumping action to pull more milk out of their mothers.

This is stone circle at Avebury.  The circle is huge, and since visitors are allowed free reign, the hippies are out in force.

This is Windemere in the Lakes District as viewed from the top of a nearby hill.  You can see a little piece of Lake Windemere above the trees on the bottom of the picture.

Who knew that if you climbed a big hill covered in forest that you'd find a sheep pasture at the top?  Better watch out, I think the sheep are taking over.

This picture gives a better view of the Lake at Windemere.

Here's Kristen standing in front of Tower Bridge.  Just off the picture to the left, is the Tower of London.

Everybody knows Big Ben, and the Houses of Parliament.  So here's our obligatory picture of it.  There are so many diesel-burning busses going by this area, that we both developed really nasty sore throats during this part of the trip.  Fortunately they got better quickly once we got off the street.

This is the parade grounds for the horse guards, complete with mounted patrolman.

Eric is standing in front of the Cutty Sark (Scottish for, "little shirt."), last of the English tea clippers.  Apparently this ship is the only sail ship to ever make the voyage from Australia faster than a contemporary steam ship.
This is a view of Greenwich with the Cutty Sark in the background.  Behind us at the top of the hill is the observatory with the Prime Meridian.
