Gary Young

Gary Young studied Music at Skyline Junior College where he earned his
Associate in Arts degree in 1975. He went on to study Music
Education and Industrial Arts at San Francisco State University and
earned his bachelors degree in 1980. Since 1998, Gary has been
the
director of the highly acclaimed Rohnert
Park Community Band. Gary is a co-owner, business manager and
saxophone player in the Moonlighters
Swing Era Big Band . He also sings in his church
choir. Gary and his talented wife Jan have
been Rohnert Park residents since 1989. They have two adult
sons.

Frank Jilka

Frank Jilka received an A.B. degree with a major in
music from Kansas Weslyan University and an M. M. degree from the
University of Michigan. He retired after teaching band for 35 years in
1994. Since then he has been a volunteer teacher in the Analy High
School music program. Analy band director Vance Regan refers to Frank
as "our secret weapon." He has been feted for his volunteer efforts by
the West Sonoma County Unified School District and by the Analy Band
Boosters. Frank founded the Sebastopol Community Band in
2000.
