WebRookie -- Surviving The Web |
||||||||||||||
This site was created from my search for information about how to get started working in the web business and finding almost nothing to go by. I wanted to be sure there was a place for others to go to learn and find the information they needed to make an easier step into the world of web work. So, how do you get started? There are no ground rules, remember, much of what is going on with web work is being created as we go along. Things change from one week to the next in the ever-changing web. With a lot of hard work and referrals I landed a job working as a search engine specialist for a web department, a position which did not exist until I started submitting sites for the company. With no ground rules for submissions I had the opportunity to experiment, create systems and learn as I worked. I've had proven success with the systems created and greatly increased traffic to our company websites.
This is what you'll find at WebRookie: Visit the resources page where you'll find links to freeware and shareware downloads, ftp clients, graphics and meta tag tools, sites for web design tutorials, html editors, script downloads, info on server side includes, validators and more.
