At present 4 large expensive homes have been built, and two more are planned, part of an upscale subdivision behind locked gates. In the fall of 2000 I went by to try and photograph what remains of John Medica's garden. Once again I found myself peering through a fence. This time, however, one of the new residents came out and allowed me access to make a few photos. He had chosen to buy the house he had because of the garden's presence. We talked a little about protection and possible repair of some of the damaged parts of the sculptures. I was heartened by his affection for the site, at the same time feeling sad at how little remained of the magical world of John Medica.
