Garcia
to RP: "Don't put cart before horse"
O.W.L. Foundation attorney
Paeter Garcia spoke against the proposed casino in Rohnert
Park on September 10th.
Garcia cautioned that any deals,
agreements, or understandings made before NEPA requirements
are met would be premature.

Proposed
RP Casino Will Sink Water Table
Rohnert Park is inviting big
trouble with its proposed Native American-owned gambling
resort. The operation intends to sink deep wells (more
than one!) into a water table that is already in severe overdraft.
Worse, it appears that the
city is openly violating the spirit of its legal settlement
agreement with the citizens of Penngrove to reduce groundwater
reliance.

Why the proposed casino
location near RP is dangerous
Rohnert Park, the Federated
Indians of Graton Rancheria and Station Casinos plan a
giant hotel/casino complex right in the middle of an area
that has already been demonstrated in court to be in substantial
groundwater overdraft.
Because the Federated Indians
of Graton Rancheria enjoy preferential, federal water rights,
when they go dry or are drawn into any legal action, then every
single person, corporation and agency in Sonoma County
could lose their water rights.
Read why.
