Oberliga Nordrhein, Round 13:
In the 2nd half, WSV was content to rely on counterattacks. The Zebras had
a few promoising chances when they caught WSV napping, but were too
incompetant to do anything about it. Things were finally decided when the
outstanding Ebersbach dished off to veteran Jacques Goumai, who blasted in
for his first of the season.
After the match, WSV Georg Kreß announced that he was satisified
with the result, especially since WSV controlled the game. MSV coach Bernd
Dietz agredd, adding that they gave away the match in the 1st half, and
although they raised the bar in the 2nd, there was nothing to salvage.
With this win, WSV maintains a place at the top, with a game in hand over
leaders Gladbach.
The main negative of the match is that the teams combined for a dozen
yellow cards.

Wuppertaler SV - MSV Duisburg Amateurs 3:0 (2:0)
By and large, an OK effort by WSV, which came to an easy thumping over a
disappointing MSV Duisburg amateur squad.
The deep, heavy pitch caused an almost lethargic play, as both teams
struggled to come to terms. So the start was uneventful, until the first
real promising attack led to a WSV goal after 13 minutes.
Thomas Euler put in a pretty pass to Ebersbach, who crossed and Rietz
knocked in
a low shot. Things slowed down and the fans went to sleep, until WSV woke
them up with another goal. Vladimir Hyza's long pass was brought down by
Olli Ebersbach, who juked a defender out of his shorts and then blasted
into the lower right corner.
