Regionalliga Nord, Round 11:
October 11, 2003

Wuppertaler SV - SC Paderborn 0:3 (0:1)

Ass kicked at home

A horrible performance by WSV, certainly their worst at home in years, as they get their ass royally kicked by Paderborn. The guests used blitz counterattacks against the overworked WSV midfield to overrun the defense, and only some sharp goalkeeping by Maly prevented an even worse debacle.

The only minor consolation for WSV was that the referee was terrible, and certainly has to take some of the balme for the loss, by a refusal to call clear offsides and other very questionable calls. Paderborn cleverly used evrything to their advantage, and fully deserved their victory.

Actually, things could have been different, as in the 1st half, especially Olli Ebersbach had some clear chances to give WSV the lead. But when your leading scorer misses sitters, perhaps that's an indication that it's not your day.
