WSV gets back level with a 1-0 victory over archrival Essen. Oberhausen's
important win over Siegen, coupled Kaisersluatern's upset over Homburg
allows RWO to seize the drivers seat. If they get the expected 3 pts in
the DFB ruling over their own game at Kaiserslautern, they'll be in good
shape. Teveren is working out next year's Oberliga schedule. After getting
thrashed at home by rejuventated Trier, the Geilenkirchers have no chance.
Another victory for Saarbruecken, which continues to creep up and may
still have a word to say. Remscheid's loss is only significant in that was
new coach Klaus Scheer's debut.
News Flash: The DFB ruled that Kaiserslautern's "amateurs" had in fact
cheated against Oberhausen, and as a result, FCK's 1-0 win was ruled a 0-2
RWO victory. This result is now reflected in the standings. As you might
recall, FCK used ineligible players. When the court found against them,
they appealed on the lame excuse that they can't be promoted. But that
still doesn't allow them to cheat. So even though we hate RWO, the court
had to rule in their favor.
