At left, new United States citizens take the naturalization oath, the final step in the process of becoming U.S. citizens. The oath is being administered by Lorena Fisher, Court Clerk for Federal Magistrate Judge Phyllis Hamilton.
Below, New citizens pose with their certificates. 950 people from 77 different countries became citizens this day in San Francisco. Citizenship ceremonies are held twice a month.
