Here's the details
the bad:
- front apron modified (see pics at right)
- non stock side moldings (see pics at right)
- impact damage from accident on rear bumper (see pics at right)
- some rust in bottom of driver's fender (see picture below) and under
battery
- drivers seat torn in a couple places
- no console (have front part and shift plate off car in poor condition)
- trunk rack has some surface rust
- back window fogged
- Minor dings, also a small dent in drivers fender and paint damage from rear-end
accident.
- heater control lever doesn't work, others do; defroster duct patched with duct
tape
- A-pillar inside trim somewhat weathered and cracked (mostly on top part)
the good:
- engine is clean and recently painted (see my pickup for engine color)
- new headgasket
- new early (non smog aka hi performance;-) distributor
- new Pertronix electronic ignition
- good timing chains (tensioner is shimmed already)
- runs very well
- transmission has new bearings, recently gone through for repairs; second still grinds on downshift - have to double-clutch
- clutch is fairly new, slave and master cylinders have been replaced
- shortened shifter with new knob and boot
- 240Z seats
- rollbar (not bolted down yet;-)
- new tires
- original hubcaps
- all emblems (except rear '2000') have been smoothed over, but I have them all in a bag
- body and frame are solid and rust free (except as mentioned above)
- new carpeting (bulk carpet, not a kit)
- everything works (the clock even started up recently!)
- Paint looks nice
- chrome trim (except bumpers) is excellent
- new top and window weatherstripping
