These are the words of Sam Johnston, the new carnival operator for the 1999 Sonoma County Fair. After a unanimous vote to replace Carnival Time Shows with Sam Johnston's Midway of Fun, Johnston realized that he was given a chance of a lifetime. As a second generation carnival operator, Johnston's Midway of Fun has only served small, one week fairs. The two week Sonoma County Fair is a step up for his business, which means that they will need to work extra hard to prove that they can provide a fun, safe environment--an environment that fair-goers want to be in and want to return to.
Sam Johnston's Midway of Fun will provide fun and exciting rides for all ages. Fair-goers looking for a thrill can ride the Zyclon Roller Coaster, Hi Roller, Gravitron, and the Zipper. Youngsters looking for some fun will enjoy the Jungle of Fun, the Jump Cycle, and the Dizzy Dragons. If you're looking forward to a full day of excitement and thrills in the carnival, then the special Pay-One-Price Days are perfect for you! Each Tuesday (July 27 & August 3), each Thursday ( July 29 & August), and on the last day of the fair (August 9) you can pay only $15.00 and from noon to 10 pm you can ride all the rides your heart desires!
