The day before Ernest Warther and Freida Richard were married, Ernest created this windmill. When he set the mill up on his wedding day (October 29, 1910) he remarked to Freida that he was going to see who would run the longest, the windmill or himself. Ernest Warter died on June 8, 1973, and the windmill is still running.
