Rome, "The Eternal City"

Our plane landed at the Fiumicino airport in Rome.  After a little bit of nervousness on our part because our host didn't come for quite a while (he was stuck at the other airport picking up people) and trying to figure out how to use the Italian phones, he finally came in a taxi to pick us up.  After an interesting taxi ride, we arrived at our motel in Rome, the Hotel Oriente.  Our room was above the brown doors, streetside.
