 Our Nauvoo, Milwaukee, Chicago and Oklahoma Trip
July 28, 2005 - August 9, 2005

       On July 28, 2005 we flew out of the Oakland Airport to Chicago Midway Airport. After renting a car, we drove to Nauvoo just in time to eat dinner at the Nauvoo Hotel and to enjoy a walk down the Trail of Hope to the Mississippi River to enjoy the Sunset.  During the next several days, we learned of the Saints' lives in Nauvoo.  Our trip to Nauvoo ended with a session at the beautiful, inspiring Nauvoo Temple.  After our Temple session, we drove to Milwaukee where we spent the next day viewing many sights related to Dianne's family history.   After finishing up in Milwaukee, we drove back to Chicago where we spent a day and a half driving, walking around, and enjoying the sights of Chicago, including the tall buildings, the Art Museum, and the Navy Pier.  We then flew to Oklahoma City where we enjoyed several days visiting with Rich and Julie and children in Edmond.   We enjoyed visiting the Oklahoma City National Memorial, the Omniplex, and Bricktown.   We also enjoyed the ward picnic and swimming.   We were especially grateful we were able to be there for the blessing of Angela.  On August 9, we flew home from Oklahoma City with many fond memories of a great trip!
