Our teachers and director are caring and highly qualified educators. We are committed to providing quality education in a warm and nourishing environment. Because of the small size of our school, teachers are very aware of each child’s individual starting point and learning style. Material is presented in an attractive, interesting, and relevant manner so that the child’s natural motivation and curiosity is stimulated.
At Old Adobe School, emphasis is placed on children feeling valued and safe. We encourage cooperation rather than competition and believe that how we speak to each other is as important as what we say.
Parents and teachers act as team members engaged in a common venture. Parent involvement has been an inspiration and source of encouragement; communication between parents and teachers is frequent, informal, and friendly.
We strive to provide a school where the larger community, parents, and teachers feel that they have a personal investment and draw a personal joy from the education that takes place here–a truly symbiotic process that leads all learners to share, discover, and enjoy the magical and wondrous possibilities of our young children’s lives.
