Obituary for Sarah E. (Hays) Dawson

Mrs. Sarah E. Dawson, aged 75, died suddenly Tuesday afternoon at the home of her daughter Mrs. Julia D. Porter at Hopwood with whom she made her home. Upon entering the dining room Tuesday afternoon, Mrs. Porter found the lifeless body of her mother stretched out on the couch, dead, due to apoplexy. Mrs. Dawson was born in the vicinity of Hopwood and spent virtually her entire life in the neighborhood. Since the death of her husband she has made her home with her daughter Mrs. Porter. Deceased was a member of the Methodist church of Hopwood. She is survived by the following sons and daughters: Hays Dawson, Johnetta, Pa; Mrs. Sarah L. Goff, Uniontown; Charles Dawson, Uniontown; Frank Dawson, Prospect; Walter Dawson, Hopwood; and Mrs. Julia D. Porter of Hopwood. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
