Acianthera (Pleurothallis) crinita #5411 x self (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: With or without flowers, this is an appealling plant. The 1” sucullent, oval leaves are spotted with maroon, are overlapping and lay close to the mount forming a mat. The outside of the flower is covered with hairs and the color varies from maroon to yellow. It is found in Bolivia and in several states in Brazil at elevations from 2310 to 6600 ft. It is a slow grower, but worth the wait. Culture: This likes to me moist, but not wet. Because it forms a mat, it is best grown mounted on bark or rough surfaced hardwoods. It does well in intermediate to cool intermediate temperatures. Give it bright light to medium shade. Unrelated examples of Acianthera (Pleurothallis) crinita
