Sold out Angraecum bosseri selfing #4076 (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: Angraecum bosseri is more properly called Angraecum sesquipedale var. angustifolium. This is the less common and more compact variety of the more frequently seen Ang. sesquipedale. The name “angustifolium" means narrow leaf. This form will grow taller than the regular form, but takes up much less space in the greenhouse than the standard form as the leaves are much shorter. The flowers are huge and the inflorescence will have 1 or 2 flowers. On the blooming shown here, the over all length from the top to the tip of the spur was 12”. The flowers are very long lasting and fragrant at night. It is found at low elevations in Madagascar. Culture: I grow this with nights above 60F. I’m sure it would welcome somewhat warmer temperatures. It gets year round water with dilute fertilizer and is watered as it approaches dryness. It is growing in medium bark in moderately bright light. Capsule parent: Angraecum bosseri 'Stony Point'
