Sold out Angraecum florulentum treated outcross #94107 ('Leon' x 'JW') (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). These seedlings have been treated to alter the chromosome count. This does not guarantee that they will be 4N. For more information go to Ploidy. The Species: This is a small to medium stature plant that grows in the Comoro Islands at elevations from 2000 to 3300 feet. The flowers are wonderfully fragrant at night. I didn't measure the flowers when I photographed it, but do remember that the spur was just under 4" long. Culture: I grow this species in a warm greenhouse (65F minimum nights) though I have also grown it intermediate condtions (56F minimum nights). It gets moderate light and year round watering with dilute fertilizer. The growths start upright and become pendant over time. It could be staked up but I grow it in a hanging pot with the growths cascading over the side. I suspect it would be beautiful if grown mounted. I grow it in a fine bark mix and is watered frequently so it never really goes dry. Capsule Parent: Angraecum florulentum 'Leon'
