Sold out Aeranthes caudata #69 selfing (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: It grows in Madagascar at elevations from 2300 to 5000 feet as an epiphyte. All of the blooming images are of the parent plant. For reference, the specimen plant is growing in a 5" diameter pot. The spikes branch and can rebloom over a period of years. Culture: It is a warm to cool grower that requires year round moisture. I am currently fertilizing at every watering at the rate of 1/4 teaspoon per gallon and a bit lower strength in winter. I does well in moderate to moderately bright light. Because of the pendant spike habit, they are most easily displayed when grown in a hanging pot or basket. They can also be grown mounted, but I personally have not had success doing that with this species.
