Sold out Bulbophyllum bandischii selfing #2695 (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: This is from seed given to me and is a selfing. The seedlings have been very vigorous in flask. The blooming image is from another plant and shows the flower very well. The flowers display nicely since they are 4” tall and large for the size of the plant. They are held on an upright spike. Culture: I have grown mine well since I moved it from a cool-intermediate to a warm growing area. I grow it in good quality New Zealand sphagnum moss in a net basket set inside a plastic pot. It is watered frequently so the moss never dries out completely. I give it dilute fertilizer and keep in in somewhat shady. I've also started growing some mounted with daily water in a shady area. I think I like the presentation better when they are potted. Bulbophyllum bandischii. This is not the parent plant, but represents the species well. |
