Bulbophyllum treschii outcross #4120 ('A' x '2089') (approximately 25 seedlings per flask).

The Species: Found in Malaysia at elevations around 3300 to 5000 ft. This is a compact plant that can bloom at any time of year and carries 4 flowers per inflorescence. The texture of the flowers is crepe-like and the can be quite long. One of the parents of this cross has flowers up to 10" long making it a spectacular presentation.

Culture: Grow this is low to moderate light in the intermediate to warm range. It gets watered year round and can approach dryness between waterings. I have always grown it mounted to display the pendant flowers. I can also be grown in a pot or basket as long as you position the container so the flowers can hang free.

Capsule parent: Bulbophyllum treschii. This flower was over 25cm or just under 10" long.
