Sold out Cattleya labiata (fma amoena x tipo) #5010 (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: It grows in Venezuela and Brazil at elevations between 2000 and 3000 feet. It will produce up to fiveof the wonderfully fragrant flowers per inflorescence and blooms from September through November. This is an outcross of two forms of Cattleya labiata. The capsule parent is shown in the first image and is forma amoena, a delicately colored flower. The pollen parent is shown in the second image and is good example of the standard color form or “tipo". Culture: Cattleya labiata is considered a warm growing species, but has done very well in my greenhouse with a 56 F minimum night and 80 to 85° daytime. They hang up high in the greenhouse so it gets quite bright light. It is allowed to dry between waterings. Capsule Parent: Cattleya labiata fma amoena Pollen Parent: Cattleya labiata tipo |
