Cattleya rex semi-alba #3656 x self (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: This grows in Peru and Colombia at elevations from 2300 to 3950 ft. It usually grows in wet mountain forest high up on branches of tall trees. The inflorescence has 3 to 10 flowers that are 5 tp 7” across. Culture: I grow these in my warm greenhouse with mid 60’s winter minimum and summer highs in the low 80’s. The rain is moderate in the summer season and a bit less frequent in the winter. The plants should have their roots dry between watering, but they are never dry for an extended period of time. Parent: Cattleya rex semi-alba |
