Sold out Cattleya intermedia orlata x semi-alba outcross #535 ('333t' x '3323') (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). This cross should yield some orlata (a form that has the colored part 360 degrees around the whole lip) and some of the semi-alba The Species: This is a compact grower (pseudobulbs from 5 to 12”) with fragrant flowers up to 5” across with 3 to 9 blooms per inflorescence. It grows in the coastal Atlantic rain forest, mostly in Brazil, on trees and rocks. Culture: I’ve always grown this in a cool greenhouse with winter nights down to 50F. It will also grow in intermediate and possibly warm conditions. Give it good air movement and moderately bright to bright light. Make the change to brighter light gradually to give the plants time to adjust. Water less in the winter, but don’t let it stay dry for extended periods of time. Capsule parent: Cattleya intermedia orlata '3331' Pollen parent: Cattleya intermedia semi-alba '3323'
