Cattleya intermedia orlata outcross #6215 ('Lena' x '8509') (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: This is a compact grower (pseudobulbs from 5 to 12”) with fragrant flowers up to 5” across with 3 to 9 blooms per inflorescence. It grows in the coastal Atlantic rain forest, mostly in Brazil, on trees and rocks. Culture: I’ve always grown this in a cool greenhouse with winter nights down to 50F. It will also grow in intermediate and possibly warm conditions. Give it good air movement and moderately bright to bright light. Water less in the winter, but don’t let it stay dry for extended periods of time. Capsule parent: Cattleya intermedia orlata 'Lena'
Pollen parent: Cattleya intermedia orlata '8509' |
