Sold out Chaubardiella subquadrata 'Stony Point' selfing #4149 (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: This Zygopetalum relative is found from Costa Rica to Ecuador at elevation betweens 2750 and 4250 ft. The plant is comprised of fans of soft leaves that are 5 to 7" tall. Each fan can continue to produce flowers over several years. The fans are close together so it stays a compact plant. Culture: Give this year round watering and keep the roots moist but not soggy. I have done well with this plant in a fine bark mix. The elevation range indicates intermediate to warm conditions. I have grown it at intermediate temperatures and now have it in a warm greenhouse where it seems happy. It grows in shade and needs good quality water to thrive. Parent: Chaubardiella subquadrata 'Stony Point' |
