Sold out Cryptopus elatus selfing treated #93000 (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). These seedlings have been treated to alter the chromosome count. This does not guarantee that they will be 4N. For more information go to Ploidy. The Species: This low elevation species is found on Mauritius and Reunion from sea level to 2650 ft. The 2.5" flowers open white and age to a color with time that can be tan, apricot or pale green. The inflorescence can have 7 to 13 flowers. Culture: This does best with warm-intermediate to warm conditions with good humidity, good air movement and moderate light. I do know others who grow it in intermediate temperatures. It is usually grown mounted so that as the roots are formed along the upper part of the plant they can attach to the mount, or as is more often the case, just hang out in the air. For the sake of space, I have been growing the seedlings in pots and they have done very well. Parent: Cryptopus elatus
