Cymbidium suave sponaneous #4349 (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: This is a 12 to 24“ tall plant that grows as an epiphyte in nature. It can be found some times in or on rotting trees. The pseudobulbs are rather inconspicuous and a growth continues to elongate and produce leaves and spikes for many years before new growth starts near the base. The inflorescence is 6 to 9” long and carries up to 50 of the fragrant 1“ flowers. Culture: Bright light, in the habitat the winter is in 40’s to low 60’s, summer is 60's to high 70's. Less water in winter, but not a hard dry rest. Cymbidium suave: The blooming images are representative and show the range of the flower color as well as the plant habit in nature. |
