Sold out Dendrobium hekouense #3895. The capsule was on an imported plant. (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: First described in 2011 this amazing miniature is has close 1" flowers on a plant where the pseudobulbs between 1/4 and 1/2 tall. It grows in Yunnan, China at elevations vrom 3300 to 6600 ft as an epiphyte. It is related to Dendrobium wangliangii, another recently described species. Culture: It is said to be a cool grower but is known to grow well in cultivation in intermediate to warm temperatures during the growing season. Let it dry a bit between waterings. The winter brings drier conditions with cooler temperatures. Grow it mounted. Dendrobium hekouense: Because this is a wild seed capsule I don't have images of the parents. I show here a few clones for a sense of the species.
