Sold out Dendrobium officinale wild #4451 (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: This grows in Japan, Taiwan and China. In China, where the parents of the seedling are from, the plants grow at elevations between 4000 and 5300 ft making it an intermediate to cool grower. It grows as an epiphyte and also as a lithophyte. The 4 to 10" tall plants are decidious. The flowers are about 1.25". This are the yellow form of the species which also goes towards green. Culture: The grows with cool winters and warm et, summers. The winters are not totally dry, but there is certainly less rain in the habitat at this time. Misting and occasional waterings and reduced fertilizer will do well. Grow in bright shade to moderatley bright light. Dendrobium officinale: These are images of flowers that were in the same importation as the one that carried capsule.
